This hands-on practical course starts at 10:00am and finishes at 3:00pm and is open to everyone; from those thinking about starting out with poultry to those who already have some experience. Topics covered will include: * Different breeds for different needs * Housing * Feeding * Sickness and medication * Equipment * Breeding and incubation Delegates will be shown the chickens, ducks, chicks, ducklings and geese and given plenty of opportunities to handle the birds, practice giving medication, look at a variety of suitable housing and different incubation methods. A light buffet lunch and hot drinks are included in the price. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions throughout the day.
